Meet Our Talent 100 Scholarship Students: Jessica

Have you got what it takes to be a Talent 100 Scholar?

Introducing some of the brightest minds across our Talent 100 Tuition Centres, with students from Burwood, Epping, Chatswood, Hurstville and our latest Sydney City Campus – welcome to our 2020 Scholarship students!

We can share their unique personalities and passions both in and outside of our classrooms. This week we’ve been chatting to our Scholarship student, Jessica who will be sitting the HSC in 2021!

When did you join Talent 100?

At the beginning of 2019

Which Talent 100 centre do you study in?

Burwood

Which subjects do you currently take at Talent 100?

Preliminary Physics and Year 12 English Extension 1

What’s the best part about studying at Talent?

I would say interacting with the Mentors is my favourite part of being at the centre. The classes are usually quite intimate so I feel a lot more comfortable to ask questions, and get lots of helpful and thorough feedback.

Can you share your number one study tip?

What motivates me to study is knowing that I can play my favourite classical tunes while I study.

Contrary to popular belief, listening to music has not been proven to distract you, so long as it is instrumental and relatively calming.

What’s a piece of advice you would give to other students?

It’s not a dumb question, whatever it is, I’m probably wondering about it too.

I love playing the guitar 🙂
