How would you describe the learning environment at Talent 100 and what would you consider the best part?

Talent 100 provides a welcoming and comfortable learning environment to the students, as the receptionists and mentors are very friendly and approachable.

The best part of Talent 100’s learning environment, in my opinion is centre, welcoming atmosphere and location, because it allows students to relax and take a break after school and before the lesson begins.

My mentor and classmates have always been very supportive, and we get along very well. We always have conversations as a whole class before our lesson begins and we have endless things to talk about.

What were you aiming to achieve by attending Talent 100 and how did we help you achieve that?

I joined Talent 100 with the aim of attempting to achieve better results in HSC Economics. Talent 100 has provided me with an opportunity of learning the content for the second time with well-trained mentors to consolidate my knowledge of the course. Additionally, the resources provided, such as: notes, mentor’s detailed explanation, practice questions and practice exam papers has allowed me to study more efficiently and gain a better understanding of the Economics content. Ultimately, allowing me to achieve higher marks for Economics during the HSC.

How did you find the resources?

The notes being bound in a book has allowed me to study more efficiently during times when I was trying to create my own study notes, as Talent’s theory booklets are more compact and draws out relevant information required rather than me having to flip through a heavy and thick textbook.

The theory booklets provided by Talent 100 each term is well designed and has assisted me during my creation of my own study notes. As a whole topic worth of content is bound in one booklet, it has also allowed me to visit contents before classes both in terms of Talent 100’s lessons and my school lessons, so I can gain some understanding of the upcoming content and not feel lost during lessons.

Have you used the 1-1 tutorials and if so how have they been beneficial?

No.

Have you tried our holiday programs? If so, how did they benefit your learning?

No.

How has your mentor’s teaching style helped you with your studying? (Why did their teaching style work for you?)

My mentor is very approachable, and it has helped me with my study significantly. Whenever I ask her questions about the course, she has always given me detailed and clear response that has truly answered my question. I had a younger mentor who graduated in 2021. This has helped me with my study of Economics as this course requires up-to-date knowledge about the contemporary economic conditions and relevant news regarding the economy. She has also taught me tips and tricks for my exams, and as a recent graduate, her tips and tricks are very relevant.

Can you share your number one study tip?

Study consistently! But also make sure you have time off to relax and take a break from the stressful time of HSC. And if you can try study ahead of the game, by all means! It will really help you. Also always ask your teacher or mentor questions because HSC Economics is a very difficult subject compared to many others, so you really need to understand your content to do well in Economics.

What are your career aspirations after completing high school?

My career aspirations are to work in famous businesses within the field of commerce, or potentially work as a real estate agent selling properties in wealthy suburbs. And ultimately running my very own business.
