We’re back in-centre for Term 3 and July Holidays: Here’s what is changing.

Talent 100 Education: Back In Centre For Term 3 & Holiday Courses

We’re so happy to welcome our new and existing students back in centre for the July School Holidays (Year 12 Fast Forward Acceleration Classes, HSC Trial Preparation and Year 11 Revision), and for Term 3.

Although we made a swift change to online only classes in Term 2, all of our Talent 100 Learning Centres will be reopening for Term 3. Here are a few points we wanted to discuss:

What does this mean for our online tutoring classes?

Due to the fantastic feedback received across our Year 7 – 12 classes, we have decided to permanently keep online courses as part of our curriculum at Talent. We like to think of it as our unofficial 6th Talent campus!

This also means that our teaching resources are accessible by more students in New South Wales than ever – distance is no longer an issue (especially so close to the HSC).

Face-to-face and online classes and tutorials will resume in Term 3 for all students in Year 7-12, and our 2 week free trial still applies for online classes. Click here to check out our Online Timetable for Term 3.

If you are taking an online class with us, you will have the option to come and pick up your textbook from our Talent 100 centres, or we can mail it to your nominated address.

How is Talent 100 working with the COVID-19 restrictions?

The health and safety of our students, teaching staff, and office staff is of paramount importance at Talent 100 Education. Here is what we have enforced to make your experience with Talent safe and educational:

Upon entering our Talent 100 centres, all students (and visitors) will have to mark a roll with their full name and contact number, as per NSW government regulations. This does not apply to teachers and office staff – but if you have the COVID Safe app, we encourage you to keep it running on your mobile phone.

All Talent 100 Learning Centres (Chatswood, Burwood, Epping, Hurstville and Sydney CBD) have been deep cleaned before the July Holiday Courses and Term 3 commence.

Students and staff are encouraged to maintain 1.5m distance from each other, and to respect others personal space.

If Talent 100 teachers, students and visitors are feeling well experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, we encourage you to stay home. Signage will be provided throughout each centre reminding everyone of the most common symptoms to look out for, including sore throat, fever, coughing and runny nose.

Hand sanitisers are plentiful throughout each centre, and we encourage you to wash your hands as much as possible during your time at Talent 100.

Kitchens and common areas will be closed, and students are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks. The use of communal cutlery and utensils is also prohibited. During breaks, students are recommended to stay in their classrooms and avoid congregating in common areas.

Talent classes will be limited to 12 students. If classes exceed 12 students, they will. be held in seminar rooms which will ensure that the correct social distancing guidelines are being enforced.

Students and teaching staff are encouraged to vacate the premises after their class has finished. Centres will no longer be used as study points, and will only remain open for classes.

Thermometers will be accessible at all Talent 100 centres, and temperature checking will take place upon arrival for all students, teaching staff and parents.

We’re also proud to announce that all Talent 100 centres (Chatswood, Epping, Burwood and Hurstville) are COVID Safe! What does this mean for students and Mentors?

The plan is our pledge to keep a safe environment for staff, students, teachers and visitors accessing all of our Talent 100 centres. It outlines all of the steps we are taking in-centre, so you can continue your studies in a safe environment.

A copy of the COVID Safe Plan will be found at reception – simply ask our Student Services team to read it.

What do I do if I’m feeling sick?

If you are feeling sick, we highly encourage you to stay home and monitor your symptoms.

Now with online classes, you can catch up and work remotely – so you won’t miss out on any important work.

All online classes hosted live via Zoom, and are very interactive and helpful. Contact our Student Services team on 1300 999 100 and they can help find you another class.

If you are feeling sick in-centre, we urge you to speak to our Centre Manager and they will act accordingly.

We’re excited to see our students back at Talent, and to meet new students in the term ahead!
